If you are seeking support during this closure period, you can contact the Employee Assistance Helpline which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The helpline offers help and advice to staff and managers outside of office hours.

Calls are confidential and are free from a landline:

  • Employees call: 0800 1116 387
  • Managers call: 0800 1116 385

Report + Support now offers reporters the option to opt-in to anonymous messaging when reporting anonymously.

What is anonymous messaging?

Anonymous messaging allows you to continue to discuss your report with an adviser after you’ve submitted it.

During the process of filling in the reporting questions, you’ll be given the option to opt in to anonymous messaging.  This will generate a 16-character code which you must keep a record of in order to send us a message (immediately or some time in the future). It is essential that you save the code somewhere safe, as if you misplace it, you or UWE cannot retrieve it at a later date.  You would have to submit a new report in order to get a new code.

Will I have to provide any personal information?

No, we won’t collect any information that may identify you. It’s completely anonymous and entirely up to you if you wish to provide any information that would identify you.

How do I use anonymous messaging?

How soon will I receive a response to my message?

We aim to respond within 3 working days. This is not an emergency service and is only monitored Monday to Friday during working hours. If you have concerns for your safety or that of anyone else, please call the emergency services on 999.
