The University will be closed from and including Friday 18 April until Wednesday 23 April 2025.

University IT systems (such as myUWE, Blackboard, InfoHub and ARCPOW) will still be available during this time and while most other services on campus will be unavailable, some areas are remaining open. You can find out more information here.

If you are a student and you need health and wellbeing support, please check our information about support available over the holiday period.

In an emergency

  • Report it to Accident and Emergency (A&E). Call 999 and request an ambulance.
  • Report it to the police. Call 999. There is an option for silent support if talking will put you in danger.

Non-emergency

If it isn’t an emergency, you can speak to your GP/healthcare professional, call the police non-emergency number 101 or attend any local police station.

Support for UWE Bristol students

You can contact UWE Bristol Safeguarding at safeguard@uwe.ac.uk for advice and support, and to think about how to keep yourself safe at UWE Bristol.

The Advice Centre at the Students’ Union at UWE is a free, confidential, impartial service where an advisor can talk through your options, the procedure, how to report an incident, and support you through the process. This can include checking draft reports and attending any meetings you have with the University.
