The University will be closed from and including Friday 18 April until Wednesday 23 April 2025.

University IT systems (such as myUWE, Blackboard, InfoHub and ARCPOW) will still be available during this time and while most other services on campus will be unavailable, some areas are remaining open. You can find out more information here.

If you are a student and you need health and wellbeing support, please check our information about support available over the holiday period.

In an emergency

  • Report it to Accident and Emergency (A&E). Call 999 and request an ambulance.
  • Report it to the police. Call 999. There is an option for silent support if talking will put you in danger.

Non-emergency

If it isn’t an emergency, you can speak to your GP/healthcare professional, call the police non-emergency number 101 or attend any local police station.

Support for staff

  • Need someone to talk to? You may feel able to discuss the situation with your People Manager.
  • As a member of staff at UWE Bristol you can access the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for free and confidential support.
  • Staff from global majority communities can access support from Nilaari .
  • You may wish to read the Domestic violence and abuse policy .
